MEDIATION
Lyons O’Dowd provides mediation services for civil disputes and active litigation matters with Mediators Marc Lyons and Megan O’Dowd. Combined, these two have over 40 years of experience in civil litigation, business disputes, contract negotiations, employment disputes and real estate matters. Having both participated in countless mediations themselves, Marc and Megan recognize the value of the process and the unique opportunity for parties to contribute in and directly guide their own outcomes.
Mediations are offered at our Coeur d’Alene office, off-site or via Zoom and can be conducted with one or both mediators, depending on the needs of the parties and the complexities of the underlying issues.
Marc Lyons
Marc has over three decades of experience as a litigator, which has prepared him for conflict resolution in real estate matters, employment, personal injury, business, probates, trusts, estates and municipal disputes.
Megan O’Dowd
Megan has over ten years of experience in litigation, covering a wide range of legal issues from contract disputes and business fall-outs, to real estate development/negotiations and employment disputes. Unlike the formal courtroom setting, Megan believes the mediation environment should be comfortable and provide the parties the opportunity to heard, while drilling down on the key issues and potential resolutions. While not every mediation is going to be successful, Megan firmly believes that self-guided resolutions are generally far more satisfying than a Court-imposed directive.
